THE PAGE

This content is all work I have done for the Toy Fiends Instagram and Facebook pages, which I run and coordinate. I have fostered the Instagram in particular from just a few hundred followers to a page that rivals all the other popular collectable shops in the Phoenix area. I have created constant daily quality content on these pages for over two years and it has really turned into something that I take a lot of pride in.

FEATURED POSTS

"Isn't it kinda ironic that the Transformer that turns into a cassette player can talk fine but Bumblebee has to talk through the radio?

For you classic Transformers fans and collectors out there, we got in this awesome Soundwave Pop!"

This post may not seem special, but to me it is a great example of some of my early work on the page. This was back when I personally took the photos (good thing I'm a writer) and the fact we still had a small audience really helped me find the fun, comedic tone for our voice. That worked great for our largely nerdy audience.

"This Blue-Eyes statue is very special, you have to sacrifice two cards before you can take it out of the box. 😉

We got in a TON of new stuff including: this PVC Blue-Eyes statue, a nice collection of Pops, a stock of NBX Blacklight Mayor Pops, a stock of Disney Treasure Mystery Minis, and finally some very nice Sonic and Tokyo Ghoul hats!"

Just as the last post was a good example of my early work on the page, this post is a great example of my current work on the page. The photos are done to professional quality and the copy is even better researched. The "sacrifice two cards" part is a direct call to the game the statue is from, to use that card in the game you need to sacrifice two cards. This kind of research and attention to detail is always appreciated by customers.

"“Grail” can have different meanings depending on who you ask, all we know is our goal is to help you find yours!

More awesome stuff went out the door this week!

We’ll be back tomorrow from 11am to 7pm! See you at the shop! 🤘"

This is an example of one of the many community posts we do for the page. Its an entirely different kind of copy when you are writing to connect with your community and develop your culture rather than selling a specific product. These kinds of posts always do well.

"We’ve got some very exciting news, all of these amazing Fiend designs are now available as stickers on our website! If you see one you like, go check out our website quick before they sell out!

Along with that exciting news we also got in new stock of Bruce Lee and Eddie Van Halen Pops, with a few Blanka and Goku Figuarts and stock of some amazing JoJo Super Action statues!"

This was a very different kind of post we don't get to do often as it was a collaboration with a local artist. Communicating with the artist and coming up with a marketing strategy was very fun and this post was one of the many we did for this campaign. I'm pleased to say this campaign went very well, selling more stickers than even the artist anticipated!
